Meeting Demand With Digital Modeling
AzAMI has developed the capacity to offer 3D printing processes with a certification in our drafting program with a focus on fused deposition modeling (FDM). The FDM machines on campus mirror those used in industry with the capability to print using over 11 types of thermoplastics, including aerospace materials.
Mesa Community College also has 3D scanning capabilities that allow reverse engineering of existing parts as well as for metrology (parts inspection and validation).
