Cyber Range
The Cyber Range program at Maricopa Community Colleges gives students access to practical, hands-on experience in cybersecurity through a controlled, immersive learning environment.
Replicating real-world network systems and threat scenarios, a cyber range provides students with the opportunity to actively practice their skills identifying vulnerabilities, responding to attacks, and securing infrastructure in real time using industry-standard tools.
This applied learning approach helps bridge the gap between classroom concepts and industry practice, allowing students to develop job-ready cybersecurity skills in a safe, structured environment.

Cyber Range Degree Plans
Our Cyber Range program offers flexible certificates and degrees designed to prepare you for roles such as Security Analyst or SOC Analyst and industry-recognized certifications from organizations like CompTIA—helping you enter the workforce with confidence.
Cyber Range access is available at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Mesa Community College, and Scottsdale Community College; however, cybersecurity programs are offered at all 10 Maricopa Community Colleges, giving students multiple pathways into the field.
Start with the essentials and build a strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts, tools, and best practices. This Certificate of Completion (CCL) gives you the broad knowledge you need to confidently take your next step into the field.
Step into the front line of cybersecurity by actively monitoring systems, detecting threats, and responding in real time. Building on foundational knowledge, this CCL develops the skills needed to quickly identify and act on security incidents before they escalate.
Build and design your own cyber tools while learning how to defend real systems from real threats. Expanding on core and operational concepts, this CCL puts you in the driver’s seat, turning curiosity into hands-on skills that work in real-world environments.
Continue your education with an associate degree—building a well-rounded skill set in cybersecurity, from core concepts and network fundamentals to hands-on defense strategies and real-world tools.
In this AAS program, you’ll learn how to identify vulnerabilities, analyze security failures, and apply effective methods to protect systems and data. You’ll also explore risk management, legal and ethical considerations, and how security impacts usability in modern environments. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your ability to communicate and collaborate as part of a cybersecurity team tackling real challenges.
